Share Restaurants in LiveIQ Labor
This topic describes two scenarios to show how you can share restaurants in LiveIQ Labor. For more information, see the following topics:
Using three franchisees, with some shared and some different restaurants, we can see how restaurants and their data are shared within LiveIQ Labor. [Show image.][Hide image.]
-
Franchisee 1 creates an organization and then invites Franchisee 2. restaurants A, B, and C are assigned to the organization. [Show image.][Hide image.]
-
Upon accepting and then activating the partner request, Franchisee 2 joins the organization. Franchisee 1 then grants Franchisee 2 full permissions within the organization. This means that Franchisee 2 can access all features of LiveIQ Labor and can access restaurants A, B, and C within the organization. Franchisee 2’s restaurants X, Y, and Z remain out of the organization; therefore, Franchisee 1 cannot access or view these restaurants. [Show image.][Hide image.]
-
Franchisee 2 has full permissions, so it can add its restaurants to the organization if desired. To be able to do this, the invited partner needs access to the Organization Parameters feature in LiveIQ Labor. [Show image.][Hide image.]
-
Once restaurants X, Y, and Z are added to the organization, Franchisee 1 has full access to these restaurants. This is because they were added to the organization that Franchisee 1 created. If Franchisee 2 wants to share restaurants X, Y, and Z with Franchisee 1 but limit its permissions, another organization must be created as demonstrated in Scenario 2.
-
Franchisee 1 has created an organization and assigned restaurants A, B, and C to it. A Partner Request is then sent to Franchisee 3.
-
Franchisee 1 has assigned restaurants B and C to its organization, so Franchisee 3 would see restaurants B and C marked as inaccessible due to permission settings for the organization. [Show image.][Hide image.]
-
Upon being invited to the organization, Franchisee 1 gives Franchisee 3 full permissions. This must be done because permissions are LiveIQ Labor-specific. Just because Franchisee 3 is an owner of restaurants B and C does not mean it automatically has full control and access to them within LiveIQ Labor. This has to be granted by the organization creator. It is for this reason that, when setting up permissions, a new partner can be set as an Owner, giving that partner organization creator rights. -
Franchisee 3 has the option to add restaurant D to the organization but does not want to grant Franchisee 1 full access. To do this, Franchisee 3 must create its own organization, of which it is the Owner. [Show image.][Hide image.]
-
Franchisee 3 then adds Franchisee 1 to organization 2, but limits its access. [Show image.][Hide image.]
